Responsible for the coordination of on-site volunteers, tools, materials, and equipment necessary to construct the assigned Habitat for Humanity of Central Iowa new home or renovation project in the greater Ames, Iowa area. The volunteer experience is vital to the function of the organization and therefore this position requires excellent verbal communication skills, a positive attitude and strong awareness of utilizing volunteers’ time efficiently. This position may have multiple ongoing projects in the local area and will need to prioritize and schedule work accordingly. This position reports to the Executive Director. This position is responsible for the construction/renovation of the home until completion of the homeowner punch-list. This position will utilize volunteer and professional labor to meet construction schedules and construct a quality home in accordance with Habitat for Humanity of Central Iowa Standards of Construction and applicable local building codes. The Supervisor will teach and lead by example, properly and safely operate common construction tools and equipment, and will be a positive representative of Habitat for Humanity of Central Iowa.
